Yesterday the boys from 5th and 6th class went to Yesterday the boys from 5th and 6th class went to Bandon Soccer Club for the annual fun tournament organised by Richie Regan. The boys played  4 matches. The highlight was 6th had to play 5th class  with bragging rights going to 6th. A fun day was had by the boys. Thanks you @bandonafc
Thanks very much to Olive Bonar and Helen Mc Manam Thanks very much to Olive Bonar and Helen Mc Manamon for visiting our 6th class today. Olive and Helen engaged the pupils in a very interesting  STEM workshop on behalf of Pfizer Ringaskiddy. There were ultra violet lights, codes to be solved and so much more. Very interesting!

Last week 4th Class explored how electrical energy Last week 4th Class explored how electrical energy flows through a circuit by creating their own simple circuits . They discovered how switches control the movement of electricity and  enjoyed watching the bulbs light up and the motors spin ⚡💡🔌

Fifth class had a great time participating in the Fifth class had a great time participating in the tag rugby blitz organised by Bandon Grammar School 🏉
Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class had Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class had a brilliant visit this morning from Glassyn Vets as well as Blue (the dog) and Thor (the guinea pig). They learned a lot about what Vets do and got to say hello to Thor and Blue! Thank you @glasslynvetsbandon
Sean Browne and Charlene Hurley from An Gairdin (B Sean Browne and Charlene Hurley from An Gairdin (Bandon Co-op) visited Fifth class last week and each child used one of their used hot lunch containers (which is fully compostable) to plant carrots and lettuce . Each child went home with this and a packet of vegetable and/or flower seeds, that were kindly donated to the school by Bandon Co-op. 

Sean also brought a robotic lawnmower and two of the boys got a chance to steer the lawnmower around the pitch area using Sean’s phone - it was an exciting end to the day :) @bandoncoop
