Huge congratulations to pupils of Laragh N.S. Julie Canty, Odhran McCarthy & Cuan Ryan who became All-Ireland Champions this week.
All three are members of the Newcestown Comhaltas U.12 Ceili Band that were crowned All-Ireland Champions at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Mullingar on Friday, August 5th. This is a great achievement and not accomplished without a great deal of hard work and a lot of talent. Well done to them all!
Also congratulations to past pupils Rian McCarthy and Tadhg O’Riordan who are also All-Ireland Champions with the Ceili Band (12-15 years). Rian also came first in banjo, duets & ceili drums (12 -15 years).
Great to see such talent and such achievement amongst our present and past pupils.
