Friday Fun Day:
On Friday 17th June, we had our annual Fun Day! In the morning 6th class served the parents as they were buying cakes. Then at around 10:30am, the Junior Infants arrived full of excitement followed by all the other enthusiastic classes. The hall was full of children.
In the hall there was a food shop where crisps, sweets, cakes and buns, waffles were sold. There was a toy shop selling teddies, toys, books, DVDs, board games and jigsaws. Nearly everything was sold such was the demand!
The Sixth class pupils put on a great display of indoor and outdoor games and activities for everyone. The indoor games were: Knock the cans, name the teddy, sweets in a jar and the Wii. Not sure who won between Mr Ambrose and Mr McSweeney on the Wii such was the competition!! Outdoor games such as Sponge game, knock the cans, bowling pins, penalty shoot out, and fastest kart lap around the Quad were available to try out.
Finishing off the end of a fantastic day with the raffle and many various prizes.
A huge thank you to all the parents and children who donated their money and home baking so generously. We raised a grand total of €1652.80, well done everybody, amazing!!
