On Thursday February 22nd, thirty two pupils from 5th and 6th classes went to Scoil Eoin Innishannon to participate in a chess tournament organised by ‘Ficheall.ie’. Last year was our first year participating and we enjoyed it so much that we were eager to take part again this year.
Once again, we had a great day. In total there were 6 schools taking part and the hall in Scoil Eoin was an excellent venue. It was a very well organised event and each child played a total of six games against different opponents. It was great to see all the children interacting and playing the games in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
