For Science Week, the children in First and Second Class learned about the three states of water – solid, liquid and gas. They changed ice into water and then made the water disappear into the air in the classroom. In groups they then raced to see who could melt an ice-cube the fastest using the scientific knowledge that they had learned. Our scientific gurus at this task were Odhran Linehan and Noah Korkosz who made their ice cube fully melt in a lightning-quick time of 2:00 flat! It was great to then see the children going home to find examples of science in their houses and creating their own experiments. Well done everyone!
